Interior Health has confirmed COVID-19 exposures in three schools across the Okanagan.

The three schools are Canyon Falls Middle, Hudson Road Elementary, and Rutland Senior Secondary.

The school district says those affected are self-isolating at home with the help of local health teams.

“The safety and well-being of students, families and employees remains our top priority,” said the district.

“Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so that students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible.”

Interior Health tracks anyone who may be exposed to a confirmed case directly through contact tracing.

Central Okanagan Public Schools says it will continue to work closely with Interior Health to determine if additional action is needed and to support ongoing communication with the affected school community.

Students are reminded to stay away from school if they show symptoms.
