Leak closes health center

A water leak has forced Interior Health to temporarily close its Community Health Services Center on Doyle Avenue.
The health authority says a “significant water leak in the plumbing system” forced the closure on Monday.
In a press release, IH says that repair and refurbishment steps are underway at the site.
If possible, the clinical services provided at the CHSC will be temporarily relocated to other IH locations. Customers will be informed of these changes and can inquire about their appointments at 250-469-7070.
The administration and support departments at CHSC are also in the process of moving. However, due to the current circumstances, many of the staff working in the CHSC offices were already working remotely.
How long the building will be closed is not yet known.
Officials say they will provide updates as soon as they become available.
