Four employees and six residents of the Heritage Retirement Residence have tested positive for COVID-19, according to IH. Anyone in close contact with them is in self-isolation and is now monitoring symptoms.
IH and the operator of the residence, Verve Senior Living, will continue to monitor the situation as they continue to take additional infection control and prevention measures. This contains:
- Monitor all residents for COVID-19 symptoms and continue testing those who show symptoms
- Improved cleaning in the facility and COVID-19 visitor guidelines
As an added precaution, Verve Senior Living has also temporarily suspended all visits to the entire residence.
