Firefighters put down a hedge fire on Saturday that had spread to a house in the Kelowna North Glenmore area.

The fire was reported at Wyndham Crescent around 1:15 p.m. after the hedge fire spread to the roof of a nearby home.

The fire brigade reached the fire quickly and was able to put the fire down. The amount of damage to the house is currently unknown.

It is not clear how the fire was started, but a witness at the scene said he believed someone may have used some type of chainsaw before the fire.

This is the second fire the Kelowna Fire Department responded to in the Glenmore area on Saturday after an early morning fire in an apartment complex on Ridgeway Drive that was classified as suspicious.
