Highway 33 was cleared in both directions on Monday afternoon after an accident between Cardinal Creek Road and Falcon Road.

A witness reported that traffic was now running smoothly through the area.

Highway 33 has been opened to single-lane swap traffic while a vehicle recovery is in progress, according to DriveBC.

The highway had previously been closed in both directions due to a multiple vehicle accident near Cardinal Creek Road.

The Autobahn 33 is closed in both directions due to an accident involving several vehicles.

The accident occurred between Cardinal Creek Road and Falcon Road, around 9 kilometers south of Kelowna. According to DriveBC, a diversion is currently not available, an assessment is ongoing.

A multi-vehicle accident on Highway 33 brought traffic to a halt to the west.

According to witness statements, three vehicles are involved.

The collision occurred near Cardinal Creek Road.

All passengers have apparently disembarked from their respective vehicles, but tow trucks are needed to remove the wreck.

Several accidents were reported in the southern interior on Monday, the most serious of which claimed two lives on the Trans Canada Highway near Kamloops.
