Zailey Smith of Coquitlam, 22, has been reported missing by RCMP, and was last seen leaving her Burquitlam-area home on Dec. 18, 2022.

Coquitlam RCMP said missing woman Zailey Smith was found deceased on Wednesday evening.

No further information was released.

Zailey Smith left her Coquitlam home this past weekend, but hasn’t been seen since.

The missing woman has ties to Kelowna and lived in the Okanagan for about two years until she moved to the Lower Mainland earlier this year, a family friend tells Castanet.

Smith’s family, as well as police, is becoming increasingly concerned for her health and well being, with the public being asked to help find her.

Smith is considered to be “high risk,” according to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Alexa Hodgins in a news release today.

The 22-year-old woman was last seen Sunday when she left her Burquitlam residence near the intersection of Clarke Road and Como Lake Avenue.

Hodgins said Smith is known to frequent Vancouver, as well as Metrotown in Burnaby.

She’s described as:

  • Slim build
  • Long brown hair
  • Hazel eyes
  • Last seen wearing….

    • A black cross body bag
    • Black winter jacket
    • Light gray leggings
    • Black shoes
