Falling trees cause power outage in Kelowna

More than 400 houses were without electricity around 2 p.m., most of them restored

Several homes in the Upper Mission area of ​​Kelowna are without power after trees in the area fell over power lines.

More than 400 households were without electricity on Wednesday (July 7th) around 2 p.m., but as of 3 p.m., according to the Fortis BC outage map, only about 80 households are affected.

Crews are on site, but Fortis currently has no estimate of when power will be restored.
