A Kelowna company is putting food by the mouths of first responders as a thank you to those who continue to be on the front lines as we all pull ourselves together to fight COVID-19.

Roof Doctor reached out to Castanet to tell us they had ordered 30 chicken burgers from Mary Brown for Kelowna’s RCMP.

“We thought it would be a good little challenge to get companies to support all of the first responders out there, and tomorrow we’ll probably take over the fire department.”

Due to health concerns about the possible spread of the disease, officials were forced to put an end to people handing out groceries and other thank you gifts for first responders.

“We called the RCMP to make sure they would take the food and they are making arrangements to collect this order.”

Roof Doctor tells Castanet that they were lucky enough not to be forced to close their doors. “The roofing industry is fortunate to have no layoffs as the BC construction industry has not closed and this is a great way to help.” repay the community. ”

When we asked why Mary Browns, the Good Samaritan said, “It’s the best chicken sandwich you’ll ever bite into.”
