Earls in downtown Kelowna ordered closed after COVID-19 transmission

Earls on Top on Bernard Avenue will be closed June 18 through June 27

One of the most popular restaurants in downtown Kelowna has closed due to COVID-19 transmission.

Earls on Top on Bernard Avenue will be closed June 18-27.

“When a closure is ordered, WorkSafeBC will deliver the closure notice and assist the workplace in reviewing and improving safety plans as needed,” reads the Interior Health Public Exposures website.

Another Kelowna store, AFA Forestry Products on Gordon Drive, closed earlier this week on June 16. It will be closed until June 21st.

In April, the provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, empowered any British Columbia health agency to shut down any business found to have a transfer.
