Central Okanagan Public Schools reports that nine schools have had COVID-19 exposures today.

The district doesn’t say whether the positive tests are students, teachers, or staff, but says Interior Health confirmed exposure.

“All individuals are self-isolating at home with the assistance of local health teams. Interior Health is directly tracking anyone who may be exposed to a confirmed case through contact tracing,” a district press release said.

The schools where exposures occurred are:

  • George Pringle Elementary School
  • South Kelowna Elementary School
  • Bankhead Elementary
  • Spring Valley Elementary
  • KLO middle school
  • Canyon Falls middle
  • Rutland Senior Secondary
  • Kelowna Secondary School
  • George Elliot Secondary School

The district also reminds anyone with symptoms to stay home.

“Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to work closely with Interior Health to determine if additional action is needed and to support ongoing communications with each affected school community,” they add.
