Two suspects from the Lower Mainland were busted by Kelowna RCMP yesterday in van carrying over $30,000 worth of stolen goods.
Between Oct. 17 and 18, a security company told the Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit that man and woman in a Ford cargo van were shoplifting expensive items from local businesses, according to an RCMP press release.
Investigators worked with the security guards to get a better description of the suspects.

The West Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit located the van, Oct. 19, with two people inside, sitting in the parking lot of a Kelowna business.
The pair were then arrested without incident.
Then their van was searched and officer found over $30,000 worth of items believed to have been stolen locally.
The two suspects are a 42-year-old man from Langley and a 46-year-old woman from White Rock. Both have been released with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court.
The investigation is still ongoing and BC Public Prosecution Service will be reviewing the file.
“The merchandise recovered included home improvement supplies, kitchen appliances, as well as various tools and machinery of high value,” Cpl. Bryan Mulrooney with the West Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit said.
“Prolific thieves and shoplifters cost businesses thousands of dollars in lost revenue each month. Our collaborative approach and our relationship with our local asset protection associates is an invaluable tool that assists us in targeting prolific retail thieves.”
