An Abbotsford architecture firm has submitted to the City of Kelowna a development permit for the form and character of a vehicle service and parts storage building on behalf of Dawson.

The two-storey structure, which would include offices, would be built on the east side of Highway 97 just north of Reid’s Corner.

The first level of the building would consist of a 20,604 square-foot garage and more than 4,500 square feet of office space. The second level would feature another 4,200 square feet of office space and a small mezzanine.

The total square footage of the facility would be more than 31,000 square feet.

The current Kelowna home of Dawson International Truck Centers is at 1150 Gordon Dr. The company also has locations in Kamloops, Vernon, Penticton and Williams Lake.
