COVID-19 reported in four schools in central Okanagan

Three of the four schools are in West Kelowna and one in Kelowna

School District 23 has announced cases of COVID-19 in several schools in central Okanagan.

Three of the four schools are in West Kelowna and one in Kelowna.

Elementary schools Ecole George Pringle, Hudson Road Elementary, Glenrosa Elementary, and Rutland Senior Secondary Schools have all reported cases of the virus.

The school district announced the exposure late Wednesday evening (Dec. 9), saying that all individuals at home are self-isolating with the assistance of local health teams.

SD23 stated in an email that they will be working with Interior Health (IH) to determine if further action is needed. In addition, the health authority will contact all potentially exposed persons.

The school district again reminded people to stay home if they showed symptoms.
