COVID-19 case confirmed at Okanagan Mission Secondary School

Interior Health keeps track of anyone who may be exposed to the virus

A member of the Okanagan Mission Secondary School community has tested positive for COVID-19.

Central Okanagan Public Schools announced the case on Wednesday evening (Nov. 4), saying the person is self isolating a house with the help of local health teams.

“Interior Health (IH) is directly tracking anyone who may be exposed to a confirmed case through contact tracing,” a spokesman for Central Okanagan Public Schools said in an email.

The school district stated that the safety and well-being of students, families and staff remain a top priority, adding that they will continue to work closely with the health authority to determine if further action is needed.

“As always, we remind people to stay home from school if they show any symptoms.”
