Prices announced for new sports dome in West Kelowna
The new Multi Sport Dome is due to open in October
With the doors slated to open in less than two months, the City of West Kelowna has set the price for renting the soon-to-be-completed multisport dome.
The prime time rental for the entire field at the dome is $ 175 per hour and $ 110 per hour for non-prime time. Rents of half the field are also fixed. The city council decided on tariffs at its council meeting on August 13th.
“(City) employees consulted with existing field user groups and checked similar fees in other communities to determine the tariffs,” the city said in a press release.
The community’s first air-assisted structure will be a Super 8 field that can be used all year round, with an emphasis on continuing sports programs through the winter.

The $ 4.1 million project completes construction with a scheduled opening in early October. The dome was funded in part by the Westside Youth Soccer Association, which provided $ 667,000 for the project, which will align with Rosewood Sports Field on McDougall Road.
