Rent still higher than $2,000

The price of a two bedroom rental home in November was the third highest month of 2021 for the Central Okanagan, according to Castanet’s classified statistics.
The average cost of renting a two-bedroom apartment last month was $2,175, up almost $100 from October but not as high as September’s $2,221. It was also lower than the average two-bedroom rent of $2,206 in June.
November marked the eighth consecutive month that a two-bedroom price was at least $2,000, suggesting that the $2,000+ cost could be here to stay.
The average one-bedroom rent in November was $1,420, which was the lowest price since July and the fifth cheapest month of the year.
Castanet’s classified statistics were based on 55 one-bedroom and 71 two-bedroom listings in the last month.
