Fired for Alberta comments

A Kelowna real estate agent has allegedly been sacked for making controversial comments on Facebook about Albertans.
Screenshots of Ben Houghton’s profile have a post that says, “Alberta, such crying babies … don’t worry Alberta, your greed will soon be back in full swing.”
Ryan Bayrack replied, “I’ll make sure none of our provinces will buy houses in the Okanagan from you.”
Century 21 Assurance Realty Ltd then responded with a Facebook post that Houghton is no longer a registered agent with the company.
“Yesterday, Ben Houghton, a broker for our firm, made negative comments about Albertans,” the post reads. “We wholeheartedly disagree with what has been said about our fellow Canadians.”
“Alberta was an economic engine for our country. We sympathize with the Albertans about the current economic climate and appreciate their perspective.”
“Our agent suspended Mr. Houghton and he is no longer a registered agent with our firm.”
