South Beach at Sarsons helped Edward West Luxury Homes earn four OHA nominations.
The finalists for the 30th Annual Okanagan Housing Awards have been announced, and Candel Custom Homes has a chance to take home the most hardware.
The Kelowna-based company has received 11 nominations for this year’s awards, administered by the Okanagan Chapter of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association and presented in person on Saturday, January 29th. They were formerly known as Tommie Awards.
Edward West Luxury Homes has the second most nominations in the Construction category, including two out of three in the Prestigious Home of the Year category. The nominees for Home of the Year are Sunset at Sarsons and South Beach at Sarsons. The third nominee for Home of the Year is Bercum Builders’ Cypress Hill Estate.
On the supply side were local cabinet makers Norelco Cabinets and Westwood Fine Cabinetry, which received six and three nominations, respectively.
Isabey Interiors and Hannah Katey Interior Design each have six awards in their design categories.
“This year’s group of finalists is particularly impressive given the challenges presented by the Covid pandemic,” said Daniel Winer, Executive Officer of CHBA-CO. “Between rising material costs, a shortage of local skilled workers, and climate issues like heat domes and atmospheric flows, these builders were able to overcome all of these obstacles to complete some stunning projects across our region.”
