BC Transit has announced changes to some of its routes that will go into effect on September 5th.

Service will return to pre-pandemic levels this fall, with additional trips being made on certain routes:

  • Routes 1, 4, 6, 8 and 97
  • Routes that the schools K-12 serve will be adapted to the requirements

“BC Transit and its regional partners are working hard to adapt the service to demand and to continue to provide our customers with reliable transportation services,” said a press release from BC Transit.

BC Transit encourages customers in the Central Okanagan region to use NextRide and the Transit app for real-time bus tracking and updated routes and timetables.

Face covering is compulsory on all buses in the BC Interior.

BC Transit will also be offering free transit for children under 12 from September 1st.
