BC Transit announced the ‘Transit’ app to improve the customer experience.

The new app is in the transit system from 18 BC. Available including Kelowna. It uses real-time technology on buses in seven communities and uses crowd-sourcing to provide travel information to customers.

After starting the app, drivers can view options and departure times nearby. It is easy to navigate the area with the help of the estimated time of arrival of the bus.

The Transit app supports other customer service channels such as NextRide, the BC Transit website, printed information and call centers.

BC Transit also receives anonymized usage data in order to improve planning processes and adjustments, e.g. B. the ability to send information to drivers via the transit home screen.
