A car crashed into a mast and narrowly missed the window of a shop in West Kelowna on Monday morning.
Emergency teams were called to the Hot Sox Laundry on Ross Road shortly after 10 a.m.
“On arrival we discovered that an elderly lady had just dismantled a post there,” said the incumbent fire chief Jason Weill.

“I went inside and heard a ‘whomp’,” said laundromat owner Rob Walker.

It turned out that the guardrail prevented the car from moving on, said Weill.

“And she must have put the brakes on too,” he added.
Nobody was injured in the collision, and the inside of the shop was not damaged, said Weill.
