Capacity and operating hours are set for the new West Kelowna brewery.
Located on Boucherie Road across from the Volcanic Hills, The Hatching Post is the first brewery to be added to the city’s popular Wine Route.
West Kelowna City Council rejected a park deviation that would have allowed 168 customers, but granted a liquor license that allows the brewery to serve from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Without the deviation, the brewery now offers space for 100 indoor and 32 terrace seats.

“I’m very excited about this,” said Coun. Stephen Johnston.
“This will be a fantastic addition to the wine route.”
The brewery has not yet announced when it will open its doors.
