Numerous Kelowna residents took to the streets on Saturday to celebrate their freedom.

Almost 300 residents flocked downtown to hold a “freedom protest” in front of the Kelowna Marina. It didn’t seem like anyone was wearing a mask at the rally.

<p>The event has been described by those in attendance as “Peaceful Canadian” and is all about “Sharing Love”.</p>

Some had signs that said, “Does this make sense?” or “freedom to control our own health.” Others wore buttons that said COVID-19 had a 99.74% survival rate.

<p>After meeting downtown, the group planned to march on Highway 97. </p>
