The Central Okanagan Public School Board announced another Kelowna school that was recently exposed to COVID-19.

A member of the Mount Boucherie Senior Secondary has tested positive for COVID-19. It is not known if the person is a student or an employee.

The exposure comes after Interior Health previously announced a case at Kelowna Secondary School.

While Interior Health first announced the case to KSS on Sunday morning, School District 23 confirmed the cases at the two Kelowna schools before sending a media release about them.

“They are self-isolating at home with the assistance of local health teams,” said a press release from SD23.

A member of Penticton’s Princess Margaret Secondary School also recently tested positive for the virus.

The new cases all come after the students return to class after the winter break last week.
