Tools valued at over $ 4,000 were stolen from a Kelowna resident Sunday night.

11 tools, nine batteries, and two chargers were stolen from the central house in Kelowna sometime between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Sunday evening.

“They came straight into the store and stole about $ 4,500 worth of things,” says Logan Noel. “I must have forgotten to lock up because there were no signs of forced entry, but now I’ve bought more locks to keep everything safe and I’m double-checking.”

Noel uses the tools to work on cars in his hobby shop, and all of them are trademarks of Milwaukee. It is unclear whether this theft was deliberate or a crime of opportunity.

“We contacted the police about it,” he says. “We also told the local pawn shop owners to look for tools that might match the description.”

If you have any information about this theft, you can contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
