The new ONE Water east tower is getting ready to welcome its new residents.

At 36 stories on the corner of Water Street and Sunset Drive, it will be the tallest tower in Kelowna. It has 225 homes, a gym, pools, and recreation rooms. All but one unit were sold. Over the next two weeks, Leonard Kerkhoff, President and CEO of Kerkhoff Construction expects to bring the area alive with its newest members of the community.

“The building looks immaculate. We are very excited to welcome our buyers, many of whom bought here under development four years ago after a long awaited time. “

Kerkhoff also says the increase in pedestrian traffic will be very beneficial for local businesses in the area.

“Two hundred and twenty-four residents who own their homes and move to Kelowna, double the number of two or three people per household, mean a lot of extra traffic in the area,” he said. Be here to visit the restaurants, shops, and services, so that it adds an extra layer of energy. “

The Association of Interior Realtors’ July 2021 figures show total Central Okanagan condominium sales increased 18 percent year over year. Kerkhoff says the new east tower will help with the increased demand for homes in the region and province.

“There is high demand and low supply of housing, that’s all of BC and it’s a very big problem, but you know we are helping to solve the problem of more homes being built,” said Kerkhoff. “The more offer, the better.”

Kerkhoff added that most of the people who bought from ONE Water east were from Kelowna, Vancouver or the Lower Mainland.

A new piece of art is also on display right on Sunset Drive in front of the main lobby. It will be unveiled to the public in a ceremony over the next two weeks, according to Kerkoff, and the art is estimated to cost $ 300,000.

For everyone who wants to shop at ONE Water, their 29-storey west tower will be completed in spring 2022, and there are still a few places available. You can check them out here.
