Plans have been submitted to the City of Kelowna to expand the Mission Creek Landing senior care home.

Kaigo Senior Living is looking to convert the Hall Road site into a three-story facility that will be built in three phases, presumably to ensure current residents are not disturbed.

The finished product would seat 242 residents and include 85 parking spaces.

The current Mission Creek Landing is a single story retirement home that has been part of East Kelowna for 45 years. It is for seniors who can no longer live independently.

It currently has 100 government-subsidized one-bedroom suites and four private paid rooms.
