Pamela Anderson returns to her roots on the Vancouver Island coast for an HGTV Canada show set to debut next year.
Corus Studios gives the green light for the eight-part series, which bears the working title “Pamela Andersons Home Reno Project”.
Cameras will follow the Canadian actress as she transforms her grandmother’s abandoned legacy into a home for herself and her family.
The nearly three hectare property is located on the waterfront in the town of Ladysmith.
Corus says Anderson bought the rustic property from her grandmother more than 25 years ago and promised to keep it with the family.
The media company says the TV and movie star plans to manage every aspect of the transformation with the help of her new husband and local carpenter, Dan Hayhurst.
Her mother Carol Anderson and the local crew, designers and craftsmen will also help.
The series is kind of an all-round moment for Anderson, whose first TV role was Lisa, the Tool Time Girl, on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement.
She became a global star as the CJ on the NBC lifeguard drama “Baywatch”, followed by her own syndicated series “VIP”.
