Flair Airlines has announced a return to Kelowna.

The budget airline said Winnipeg will also return to its summer schedule.

However, planned expansion into Ottawa and Atlantic Canada (including Halifax, Saint John and Charlottetown) will be delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The airline’s current destinations include Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

<p dir=Full refunds are offered to customers who purchased tickets for flights to Ottawa and the East Coast, the company said.

“Given the current travel restrictions and quarantine requirements in the provinces, we currently believe this is the best balance for both the provinces and Flair as a company,” said John Mullins, vice president at the airline.

“For Flair, safety comes first and our customers have priority for us.”

The airline said it was planning to expand into Ottawa and Atlantic Canada, stressing that the delay was only “temporary”.

“We’ll be there for Ottawa and Atlantic Canada as soon as everyone is ready for our arrival,” said Mullins.
