A Kelowna woman won $ 50,000 playing keno.
Donna Maruszczak got a surprise when she recently checked her August 13 keno ticket, which was purchased at the Kelowna Husky Market on Harvey Avenue, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release.
She was checking her ticket at the Capri Center Mall when the winning message popped up, but it wasn’t until later, when she claimed her prize using the BC Lottery Corporation’s alternative prize claim, that she learned she’d won $ 50,000.
Maruszczak says she is “thrilled” with the victory and plans to take her family on vacation when it is safe to travel again.
