Three recent flights to Kelowna had confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to the BC Center for Disease Control.
The BC Center for Disease Control reports that WestJet Flight 188 from Kelowna to Calgary had virus exposure on Nov. 19, affecting rows 14 through 20. On Nov. 24, WestJet Flight 3342 from Calgary to Kelowna also had an exposure affecting rows 7 through 13. On Nov. 27, Air Canada Jazz Flight 8417 had an exposure that affected passengers in rows 8-14.
If you are a close contact for a confirmed COVID-19 case, Public Health will contact you directly to let you know. In cases where not everyone can be reached, regional health authorities publish information on public exposure online, according to the BCCDC.
Passengers on a domestic flight with a COVID-19 case should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
British Columbians have been advised to minimize travel in or out of the province due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the BCCDC.
