Kelowna RCMP is looking for a suspect after an 18-year-old woman was allegedly grabbed during a run.
The woman was running on Mclean Road near Junes Spring Road in Kelowna when she tried to run past a man who was parked at a vehicle in a press release on March 3 at around 6:30 p.m., according to the RCMP.
The woman reported that the man grabbed her arm. She escaped and immediately ran home and reported the incident to the police.
Police officers flooded the area and searched for the man, but did not find the person.
The man is described as a Caucasian between 40 and 50 years old with medium-length black curls.
The vehicle he was standing next to was described by the victim as a newer four-door black SUV with a silver roof rack.
“We don’t currently know what the suspect was up to, but we’re working hard to resolve this incident,” says Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP in the press release.
“We ask anyone who has been in the area and seen something or has a dash cam or surveillance video of the incident to contact us immediately. We also ask anyone who recognizes this suspect or this vehicle description to give us a call. ”
