Pentictons Bad Tattoo Brewing is expanding its business to Kelowna later that summer.

The restaurant is due to open in early July and is located in the city’s brewery district at 740 Clement Avenue – right in the heart of downtown Kelowna.

“We feel very good about it. Just as Kelowna is growing and what’s going on downtown to be a part of it, we think it’s going to be amazing, ”said Ryan Gurney, who will serve as general manager and partner for the future site.

Bad Tattoo Brewing originally opened in 2014 and offers 20 different beers on tap and different pizza variations.

Gurney said diners in Kelowna should expect a bathroom tattoo environment with a different feel and look.

“The core will be the same. Pizza and beer will be our focus, but there will definitely be some updates compared to what we did here in Penticton, ”he said.

The focus of the restaurant is on creating a new atmosphere that radiates “energy”.

“That’s all I’m going to say now. Great beer, great pizza, and we’ll balance that with the atmosphere, ”he said.

A pilot brewing system will also be installed at the Kelowna site to test batches that can be brewed at the Penticton brewery.

“This is great for us. To gain more brand awareness, to make our brand known and to be part of the community. It’s very exciting, ”he said.
