VIDEO: Tip to the Metro Vancouver transit police helping a woman 4,000 km away in Ohio

A text from a teenage boy in British Columbia to the Metro Vancouver Transit Police recently ended with life-saving measures for a young woman 4,000 kilometers away.
Sgt. According to Clint Hampton, transit police were made aware of a YouTube video of the woman in mental distress after a 13-year-old texted the police at 87-77-77.
Through her investigation, the transit police discovered that she was in Ohio.
“We were able to connect with the Ohio police and they were able to locate this young woman and provide the help she needed,” said Hampton, adding, “it’s okay to be wrong.”
