Kelowna has been named a finalist for the Small Business BC Awards

Twirling Umbrellas is one of five companies selected for the Best Company Award

A small business in Kelowna was recognized as one of the top companies in the province by the Small Business BC Awards.

Twirling Umbrellas, a web design and digital marketing group, is one of five finalists for the Best Company Award and one of only 40 companies selected through a selection process that features over 600 small businesses across the province for the 17th annual Small started Business BC Awards.

“As the leading small business award competition in British Columbia, these awards not only recognize the excellence of local entrepreneurs, but also provide a powerful platform for future success,” said Small Business BC’s website.

In the eight categories, the majority of the nominated finalists come from Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the coast.

In addition to Twirling Umbrellas, there were the Okanagan companies Summit Tiny Homes from Vernon, which was nominated for the Best Marketer Award, and Mismack Clean Cosmetics from Salmon Arm, which was nominated in the category Best Youth Entrepreneur.

In the final step of being recognized as the winner of the “Best Company Award” category, Twirling Umbrellas will present their business to a group of experts. The winning companies will be announced in Vancouver on February 21st.
