The branch has announced that it will hold its annual Holiday Bake Sale to raise funds for stray and neglected animals.

Sean Hogan, branch manager for SPCA Kelowna, said selling cake was a win-win for those with a sweet tooth and animal lover.

“It’s such a sweet event,” said Hogan.

“We ran this fundraiser annually because it’s so popular with people who don’t have time to bake but want to buy donated baked goods and help the animals at the same time.”

As part of the event, attendees can also pick up a pet-friendly gift basket for that special animal in their life.

Last year’s event was an outstanding success. A total of $ 3,400 was raised to support the branch.
