Shaw Mobile launches in Alberta, BC with Shaw’s Freedom Mobile

Shaw Mobile’s quoted prices range from $ 15 to $ 95 per month

Freedom Mobile owner has announced details of a new cellular service called Shaw Mobile, which will be available in Alberta and British Columbia.

Calgary-based Shaw Communications says the new service will combine elements of its wireless and home fiber networks, as well as its WiFi hotspots.

It offers three levels of service plans, currently offered at an introductory discount, each with access to 450,000+ Shaw Go WiFi hotspots.

Prices quoted by Shaw Mobile range from $ 15 to $ 95 per month with a one-time connection fee, but are currently subject to promotional discounts.

Shaw has Western Canada’s largest cable television network, primarily targeted against Telus Corp. competes in Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba.

The Freedom Mobile service also competes with Telus, Rogers, and Bell in BC, Alberta, and Ontario.
