Motorcycle collides with car in West Kelowna

Highway 97 is slow because the emergency services are still on site

Traffic on Highway 97 in West Kelowna is secured in both directions after a motorcycle hits the back of a white car.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

According to those affected, the motorcycle hit the back of a vehicle on Highway 97 and was just about to turn off on Westside Road. The bike may have crashed through the vehicle’s rear window before turning into a center ditch on the highway.

The driver was taken to the hospital by BC Ambulance.

The occupant of the car could drive the vehicle from the scene.

Drivers should be prepared for delays in the area as the left lane of Highway 97 is closed.
