According to Interior Health, the individual is self-isolating at home

A person at École KLO Middle School in Kelowna has tested positive for COVID-19, Interior Health has confirmed.

The person is self-isolating at home with the support of local health teams, the Central Okanagan Public Schools said in a press release on Friday, November 20.

The regional health authority lists November 6th, 9th, 10th and 12th as potential exposure dates.

KLO is the sixth Kelowna school to have confirmed COVID-19 exposure.

Interior Health will reach out directly to anyone who may have been exposed through contact tracing.

“The safety and well-being of students, families and employees remain our top priority,” the press release said.

Central Okanagan’s public schools will continue to work closely with the regional health authority to determine if additional action is needed and to support ongoing communication with the KLO community.

“As always, we remind people to stay away from school if they show symptoms,” the press release said.
