A $ 6.5 million home on Hobson Road, Kelowna is up for auction next month.

The house, known as Avanti in Hobson, will be sold to the highest bidder on four auction days from August 16-19. It is an unrestricted auction, meaning there are no minimum bids or minimum prices

“The Avanti on Hobson is arguably the best house in Kelowna,” said Daniel Lambert, president of Precision Real Estate Auctions, in a press release. “The house is listed at $ 6.5 million, but would be worth $ 15 to 20 million in Vancouver or Toronto.”

The two-story house has an area of more than 10,000 square feet and is located on more than half an acre property. It has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two garages with space for five vehicles. The back yard has a swimming pool, sports field, sports bar, hot tub, and sunken trampoline.

“It’s a great place to soak up the Okanagan sun and even pick strawberries floating in your glass of champagne,” said former Calgary Flames captain and Royal LePage Realtor Todd Simpson. “Dinner lasts for hours while another glass is poured either outdoors under the pergola or indoors in the Carolyn Walsh-designed kitchen.

“And if your guests had too much fun, they can take the elevator in the cabana to their own pool suite for the evening.”
