Electricity restored in the city center

All but six homes in downtown Kelowna were restored to power on Saturday after nearly 400 homes went down early Saturday morning.
In 398 households in the cultural center in the city center the power went out shortly after 7 a.m. because “equipment damage” was caused.
According to FortisBC, at 11:25 a.m., power was restored in 392 households.

Nearly 400 households in downtown Kelowna are without power on Saturday morning.
Just after 7 a.m. the lights went out in 398 homes around Ellis Street, between Clement and Doyle Avenues.
FortisBC reports that the outage was caused by “equipment damage”, but no further details have been posted on their website at this point.
Fortis estimates that power will be restored by 10:30 a.m.
